VNES: This program will emulate Nintendo games on your phone. It sounds pretty cool and it's available for download right now, just get some roms with it and give it a shot. I can't seem to get it to work for some reason, I think it may have to do with the roms I chose to try out.

US and Canadian skiers get smart armour

"A futuristic flexible material that instantly hardens into armour upon impact will protect US and Canadian skiers from injury on the slalom runs at this year's Winter Olympics. The lightweight bendable material, known as d3o, can be worn under normal ski clothing. It will provide protection for US and Canadian skiers taking part in slalom and giant slalom races in Turin, Italy. Skiers normally have to wear bulky arm and leg guards to protect themselves from poles placed along the slalom run."

4GB Media Player for NDS

This sounds pretty interesting, albeit expensive ($225); a 4GB Max Media Player for the Nintendo DS. It'll allow you to watch movies, listen to music, look at pictures, and hopefully run games and emulators.

LED Throwies

LED Throwies are an LED, taped to a small battery and rare-earth magnet. They can then be thrown to a magnetic surface and cause it to light up whatever colors you want. They sound really cool, I think I should make a bunch and stick them to my car or something. Here's a video of them in action.

Garfield is Funnier When He Shuts Up

I found two handy lists of Web 2.0 pages that might be useful if you're curious about what the new trends seem to be in web pages. A lot of the services are really cool. Something they all seem to have in common is tags. This is a pretty crazy video of some guy with an automatic shotgun. It's annoying in the fact that the first 30 seconds of the video are him loading rounds, but it's pretty cool after that.

Face Transformer

Upload an image to the face transformer and see what you'd look like older, younger, as an Asian, as a women/man (whichever you aren't), as a chimp, etc. It seems to work pretty well, as long as you calibrate it properly by moving the little ovals to your eyes and mouth.
